WHAT IS HONEY?

Honey represents "dense, sweet, syrupy or crystalline matter, pale yellow to dark brown, peculiar odor and taste, originating from nectar or sweet secretions of leaf buds (softwoods and leaves), or secretions of your herbs, which bees are processed and brought into the honeycomb to mature."                                     According to the rules, honey is a naturally sweet, liquid, viscous or crystallized product produced by honey bees (Apis mellifera) from nectar of honeycomb flowers or from the secretion from living parts of plants, which the bees collect, add their own specific substances, transform and dispose in the cells of the honeycomb to mature.                                     Honey production technology implies the performance of one or more processes and operations for their practical application. Bees collect a nectar containing (50-80%) water. Moving the nectar from the cell into the cell reduces the moisture content. Bees are processed during the flight by nectar (120-140) times injected from the honeycomb stomach (moisture decreases), the nectar enriches with enzymes (diastase), and the amount of water decreases. To make honey bees full of honey, you need to visit 50-150 flowers. In order to collect 1 kg of honey, bees must process 3 kg of nectar, fly 140,000 km, visit at least 1,600,000 flowers of acacia or 6,000,000 flowers from the infant. Bees during the day can collect up to 6 kg of honey per day (acacia, zanovet, drača). Honey obtained from nectar plants, several species are called polyphloric, and one obtained from one plant species is called monophlora honey.

CHARACTERISTICS OF HONEY

The honey must have a distinctive honey. The honey must not be in the process of boiling. Honey must not be obtained in the process of feeding bees with artificial food.

CHARACTERISTICS OF HONEY

Smell - Must have a fragrance of honey. Do not be afraid of artificial colors. The honey must not be in the process of boiling. Honey must not be obtained in the process of feeding bees with artificial food                                      Consistency: The denser honey has a lower water content of 14-17%. The rate of crystallization depends on the type of sugar and its structure. Crystallize glucose and sucrose, and fructose remains in liquid state. Dextrins, proteins, and vegetable oils slow down the crystallization. Honey with higher fructose content slowly crystallizes and produces fewer crystals. The best temperature is between 14C                                      Hygroscopic: a honey containing 17.4% moisture is in balance with a relative humidity of 58%. This honey can absorb moisture if stored in rooms with higher relative humidity. Hygroscopicity is the characteristic of honey to absorb moisture                                      Specific weight varies from 1,420kg to 1,440 kg. The weight of one liter of honey is: 1,420 kg. At -36C, the honey is freezing and then its volume is reduced by 10%. At + 25C the volume increases by 5%.
Honey color depends on colored substances in honey (carotene, xanthophyll, chlorophloid, melanin). Honey can be: colorless, light yellow, dark blue, eclipse, dark brown. The bright honey include: cloves, willow, lime, acacia. Nectar honey is yellow. Honey from the honey is dark brown                                      Honey storage Honey is stored or stored in closed containers, in dry, dark and ventilated areas at a temperature of 18 to 22ºC.
CRYSTALIZATION is a natural feature of honey. The best way to dissolve honey is to place jars with crystallized honey in warm water, which will be returned to the liquid state by light warming.

Proteins, hormones, organic acids (apple, wine, citrus).                                         Characteristics of nutrients                                          For a normal life and both people and bees, it is necessary for bees with food to provide the following nutrients: proteins, fats, carbohydrates, mineral salts, vitamins and water. All of these materials are complex, highly molecular and have a large amount of energy. In the body, they dissolve into the free compound, forming ultimately simple low-molecular matter which is removed from the body by breathing and the excretion system.                                         The finished honey contains all these nutrients, and he is such a great source of energy.
